Free Let's Have Fun with Fire Safety: Marty & Jett's Activity Book

Fire and burns are one of the leading causes of injury and even death for children, especially preschool aged children. Parents and educators play a vital role in teaching children fire safety and reducing the risk of child-set fires.

The U.S. Fire Administration wants everyone to be safe from fire, including you and is providing the following free fire safety for kids resource.

Let's Have Fun with Fire Safety: Marty & Jett's Activity Book provides children ages 5 through 9 with valuable learning tools about fire safety and prevention.

The free activity book contains twenty eight pages and includes coloring pages, connect the dots, word searches, an escape plan mazes and more. The U.S. Fire Administration encourages you to lead a discussion about fire safety and prevention for children using the information and fire safety lessons inside their free activity book.

You can order hard copies of the Free Let's Have Fun with Fire Safety: Marty & Jett's Activity Book or you can download copies and print them out on your computer.

My mother was taught not to play with fire by her grandmother. Apparently, when caught playing with matches, her grandmother simply lit a match and held in under one of my mother's fingers! Whether this was an apocryphal tale or not, it certainly worked to ensure my sister and I never played with matches!
