Barnes and Noble Summer Book Club

The Barnes and Noble Summer Book Club is a fun and easy way for your children to earn free books. Your children can read any eight books, write about their favorite part of each book in the tear page (print out tear page on Barnes and Noble website), bring completed page to a Barnes & Noble bookstore between May 29th and September 2nd, 2008. Your child will then get to pick a free book from a list of titles.

Information from Barnes & Noble: "Fostering a love of reading and its rewards, the Barnes & Noble Summer Reading Program is popular with students in the first through sixth grades and educators throughout America.

Participation is fun and easy way for kids to earn free books. They simply read any eight books — library books, books borrowed from friends or books bought at Barnes & Noble — write about their favorite part, and bring a completed tear page to a Barnes & Noble bookstore. Children then choose their free book from a list of paperback titles.

In the summer of 2007, Barnes & Noble gave away more books than ever before, 10% more than those given away in the summer of 2006. The theme of the 2008 Summer Reading program is based on books by the popular children’s author, Andrew Clements."

I don't know how many free books your children are entitled to, last year it was two. I will post when I find out. If anyone has any further knowledge of this program, please share with us.
