Parents are always searching the Internet for free online children games. They are still purchasing the regular board games but since technology has practically taken over this world, there is a need to introduce our children to online games.
Children as young as 3 1/2 years old are comfortable playing these games online. They are basically being taught how to use the mouse and keyboard while having fun.

Free Disney Storybook Maker
Form Disney Junior comes a Free Story Maker that you can personalize for your children.
The Free Disney Storybook Maker is very easy to use. To get started, choose a character, type in the request information (ex: child's name, favorite food) and click continue. A cute story will appear that you can read on your computer or print out. You can even go back and edit the story if you find a mistake.
While your at Disney Junior there is also a whole bunch of other free activities for your children to get excited about. They can create their own calendar or greeting card, click and color online or choose from a nice list of coloring pages to print out and decorate anyway they want.

Money Bunny – Teach Kids To Save and Manage Money
Money Bunny is a helpful website to offer kids a place to play, while teaching them to be smart about planning, saving, and spending their money.

International Children's Digital Library
The International Children's Digital Library was launch in November, 2002 with a mission to prepare children for life in an ethnically and culturally diverse world by building the world's largest online multicultural repository of children's literature. As of this post, The ICDL collection includes 4431 books in 54 languages.
Children, parents, and teachers will enjoy the wealth of wonderful reading that is available at this site with an interface in fifteen different languages.
The simplest way to use the The International Children's Digital Library is to just read a book. You can choose one of the featured books from the home page or search books using Simple Search. You can also search using the Advanced Search or Location Search which is located at the bottom of the Simple Search page.

We recently did a post on Pocket Doodles For Kids by Bill Zimmerman and while a was creating the post, I came to learn that Bill Zimmerman also publishes a fun website called MakeBeliefsComix.com.
Make Beliefs Comix is a free comic strip creation tool for kids of all ages. It provides a variety of templates, characters, and prompts for building their own comic strips, encouraging children to express themselves through writing.

Recently, I was asked to review the new AllStarBuddies.com website and I'm happy to report that what I found was a unique, fun and educational site!
AllStarBuddies.com is a new sports-themed virtual world website for kids 6+ where a healthy, positive lifestyle is reinforced through fun games and safe social interaction. I've recently had the pleasure to explore a new website called Jitterburg, the world's first dedicated online kid's music video website.
Founded by two dads, Randall Green and Dan Gellert, Jitterbug provides an alternative to surfing larger video and music sites in search of music.
Very easy navigation provides a music video search by category and artist. The site is free to use for both artist and families with registered users having the options of giving a star rating to music and videos, emailing friends about music they like, saving their “favorite” list and the choice to share their "favorite" list with other jitterbug users.
With plenty of new videos being added all the time, Jitterburg is a wonderful place for kids and parents to discover cool, independent music online.

Precious Girls Club
I recently received an e-mail from MomSelect, with an opportunity to review the Precious Girls Club and a new book called "A Little Bit of Faith" by Cindy Kenney. I came across another math related website that I believe will be helpful and fun for anyone with children having problems with math.
Dr. Mike's Math Games For Kids is an online collection of free printable math games for kids, that teaches math through play!
You will find many different games, puzzles and worksheets that can help your child learn math. The best part about Dr Mike's website is that it can help your kids learn math, without even realising they are learning.
Find games for your preschoolers, all the way up to the seventh grade. Dr Mike's also has a section for home-schooling and teachers can photocopy the math games to use in their classrooms.
My daughter is enjoying the Dr. Mike's Math Games For Kids printables, they keep her interest, are very easy to use and most importantly helping her to learn math!

Math Moves U
With school getting ready to begin I came across a website that makes learning math fun. Math Moves U is an innovative program designed to engage middle school students with math at an age when their interest in the subject typically declines.
Math Moves U is geared toward middle school students (6-8 grade crowd and possibly advanced 5th grade) where your child can enter a "virtual world" of math through an interactive interface, engaging in worlds of fashion, sports, music and more, while using math concepts.
Start by choosing a character and customize the character by changing the color of hair, shirt, skin, fur and other accessories. Other options include saving your character to begin or registering, which is not required.
Using your keyboard and mouse enables your child to explore different areas of Math Moves U, where they can work on quizzes, polls, flash cards, math games or featured facts. The facts section has links to help connect to more knowledge for your children.
Enter the Math Moves University section and your child can find plenty of practice worksheets that can be downloaded in PDF format and printed out on your computer printer. You can also find the mathtionary which contains helpful definitions for common math terms.
FYI: I just want to give you a heads up that during play, popups to register may appear but are never required at Math Moves U.
