Kids Workshops - Home Depot

On the first Saturday of each month (that would be tomorrow), Home Depot stores offer a free kids workshop designed for children ages 5 - 12 years of age. These workshops are held between 9 AM and noon at all The Home Depot Stores.

Information from Home Depot: "The workshops teach children do-it-yourself skills and tool safety, while at the same time helping to instill a sense of accomplishment. Additionally, this fun time allows for quality one-on-one time between adults and children.

In addition to the newly constructed project kit, each child receives a kid-sized orange apron, similar to The Home Depot associates' aprons, and an achievement pin."

This Saturday, June 7, 2008 the children will be creating a catamaran.

You can visit the above Home Depot link to learn more about the workshops and to find your closest The Home Depot Store.

Have Fun!
