Halloween Sugar Free Treats for Children

Halloween is one of the most exciting holidays for children, and there is nothing better for them than dressing up and getting free candy. The choice to give your child sugar free treats for Halloween is one that will benefit them immensely, in terms of maintaining good oral health and preventing issues such as gum disease. It is difficult to give out sugar free homemade treats, because most parents will check their children's candy and throw out anything that is homemade by a stranger. You may have to skip the trick-or-treating, but you can have a great Halloween party with some of these sugar free snacks.

Believe it or not, popcorn is still one of the best snacks on the planet and every child loves to eat it. You can just throw some butter on there and that will probably suffice, but you could also put other things on your popcorn. Cinnamon, parmesan cheese, and sugar free chocolate flakes are great additives that make popcorn even better.

Fruits and Vegetables

Fruit will always be a big hit at any party. Bobbing for apples is still a great Halloween game to play and the reward is a nice shiny apple. If you get online or get a little creative yourself, you can find a plethora of sugar free snacks that are easy to make that incorporate fruits and vegetables into the Halloween theme. For example, you can simply put a scoop of peanut butter on a plate and then use celery and raisins to create a unique Halloween spider. A fun activity with bananas is to create a costume on the banana peel. Then you can give an award to the best dressed banana, and everyone will have a great snack to eat when the game is done. The options are limitless, so take the time to see what you can come up with.

Chocolate is by far the best thing about Halloween and children expect to get some during Halloween. The problem with some sugar free chocolate is that there are other additives that really are not overly healthy. There are some ways to get around that as well, but for the most part sugar free chocolate will work great. You can also use the chocolate to create scrumptious brownies, cupcakes, or dipping chocolate. Imagine the excitement that the children will have at your Halloween party when they dip their fresh fruits into a sugar free chocolate fountain. Plain potato chips are another great dipping idea.

What’s stopping you?

Halloween will always be a great time, and you can keep your children's healthy habits going throughout the holiday. You only need to search for some recipes and use your creativity to make this Halloween party the best and healthiest party ever.
