Princess Parties through the Ages!

Most girls dream of being princesses and you can make this dream come true, if only for one day a year! Setting up princess themed decorations, playing princess themed games and handing out princess themed party bags is a great way to celebrate the birthday of your little girl. As the children grow older, each princess party will require different games and items. However the one thing that is guaranteed is that as your little princess gets older, her desire and love of all things royal will not be diminished in the slightest!

princess magic wands

1st Birthday – The 1st birthday of a baby is often the most memorable one for parents. Although the baby is a little too young to understand the nature of birthdays, you can still spoil her and the young guests with a variety of colourful toys. Toys that are bright in colour like the princess magic wands (pictured) and games that release sounds and jingles (such as rattles) will ensure the babies are engaged for hours by items that develop their sense of sight and sound.

2nd Birthday – As the young princess gets older, so will her appreciation of her birthday. Not only can you dress the princess up in a lovely gown and tiara, you can also provide a range of princess themed goodies such as bubble wands and Disney princess chocolate coins. For entertainment, go with princess hand puppets and put on a show for the royal show for the young ones!

3rd-4th Birthday – By the age of 3 or 4, children develop a sense of understanding with other children. You can use this birthday to set up a range of princess games that all the children can enjoy together. Games such as pin the tail on the unicorn (a princess remake of pin the tail on the donkey!) are splendidly fun for all involved. You can also set up the Cinderella Midnight Freeze Ball – a princess version of Musical Statues. Remember to only play music from the soundtracks of popular Disney princess movies!

Pretty Princess Face Painting Kit & Princess Wand Making Kit

5th Birthday – The 5th birthday may see the princess begin to make some royal demands! Not only can you dress the princess in a suitably royal outfit, you can use the Pretty Princess Face Painting Kit to transform and each and every guest into a princess for the day. You can also use the Princess Wand Making Kit to give the children a chance to create their personal wand. In terms of entertainment, the girls are now old enough to enjoy a wide range of party classics so go wild! One popular activity for young girls is a Princess themed karaoke with songs from classic princess movies such as Cinderella, Snow White and Beauty and the Beast.
