Celebrate Winnie the Pooh and A.A. Milne's Birthday. A.A. Milne was an author of children's story books, and created Winnie the Pooh and his friends. Winnie the Pooh Day was created to celebrate the birth of A.A .Milne who was born on January 18th in 1882.
Winnie the Pooh and his friends were created from stuffed animals that Milne's son, Christopher Robin Milne, had as a child. Christopher Robin also happens to be a character in the stories himself.
